PRIVACY NOTICE

1.     The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) fully supports the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and shall endeavor to comply with all issuances from the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

2.     DTI collects and maintains personal information aligned with its mission to be the main economic catalyst that enables innovative, competitive, job-generating, inclusive business and empowering consumers. Collection of personal information is done through the STMO e-Licensing Platform and may only be obtained with the consent of the data subject.

3.     Personal information will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected. Some processes may require sharing of personal data with other government agencies or third-party service providers to complete the transactions and in order to provide the required services. Consent of the data subject shall likewise be obtained for this purpose.

4.     DTI assures that physical, technical, and organizational measures and procedures are implemented to safeguard the data we collect from our data subjects.

5.     Personal information is stored until necessary; afterwhich, personal data shall be disposed or discarded in a secure manner that would prevent further processing, unauthorized access, or disclosure to any other party or the public, or prejudice the interests of the data subjects.
